Gopher Men’s Basketball – LUCKY, MN Contest

I.     Eligibility for the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawings

A. To enter, a person must: a) be a registered member of the Minnesota State Lottery’s Players Club at www.luckymn.com; b) have completed the full address portion of the sign-up area; c) the address listing the player’s registration in Lucky MN must be within Minnesota or one of the four states bordering Minnesota (North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa or Wisconsin); d) answer a question in the Win Gopher Men’s Basketball Tickets Contest between 12:00:00 a.m. on October 11, 2011 and 11:59:59 p.m. on January 11, 2012 (answer selected does not have any bearing on the contest outcome); and e) be at least 18 years of age.

B.  Entries may be submitted through luckymn.com beginning at 12:00:00 a.m. on October 11, 2011, until 11:59:59 p.m. on January 11, 2012.  All entries received by 11:59:59 p.m. on October 26, 2011, are eligible for the October 27, 2011, Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing.  All entries received by 11:59:59 p.m. on November 22, 2011, are eligible for the November 23, 2011, Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing.  All entries received by 11:59:59 p.m. on January 11, 2012, are eligible for the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing on January 12, 2012. A person may only enter once.

C.  Employees (including immediate family members residing in the same household) of the Minnesota State Lottery, Gopher Sports Properties, Clockwork Active Media Systems, LLC and any other company that is not eligible to receive a prize from the Lottery under Minnesota law or pursuant to a contract with the Lottery are ineligible to participate and receive a prize from this drawing. Winners will be selected and eligibility determined by the Minnesota State Lottery. The decision is final, binding and conclusive in all matters.

D.  A person or any immediate family member (spouse, child, parent, brother or sister) residing in the same household may only be selected once in the three (3) Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawings.  A person or an immediate family member that has been previously selected in a Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing is ineligible to receive a prize in any of the subsequent Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawings.

II.     Selection of Tickets for the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawings

A.  The Lottery will conduct a total of three (3) Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawings on or about the following dates:

1)  The Lottery will select 3 entries in the October 27, 2011 drawing.

2)  The Lottery will select 3 entries in the November 23, 2011 drawing.

3)  The Lottery will select 4 entries in the January 12, 2012 drawing.

B.   The Lottery will, by use of mechanical or other devices, randomly determine which of the entries submitted are selected.

C.   The odds of any particular entry being selected in the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing are dependent on the number of entries submitted via the Internet for the drawing and the eligibility of each of the entries received.

III.     The Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing Prize

A. Each winner will receive two (2) tickets to Gopher Men’s Basketball home game.  Each winner will also have a chance to participate in an on-court promotion with the chance to win $150 in lottery tickets. Each winner will receive a minimum of $20 in Gopher 5 lottery tickets. 

B. The entries selected in the October 27, 2011 drawing will receive Gopher Men’s Basketball tickets as follows:

1) The 1st entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the November 11, 2011, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

2) The 2nd entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the November 17,   2011, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

3) The 3rd entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the November 30, 2011, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

C. The entries selected in the November 23, 2011 drawing will receive Gopher Men’s Basketball tickets as follows:

1) The 1st entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the December 6, 2011, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

2) The 2nd entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the December 13, 2011 Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

3) The 3rd entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the January 4, 2012 Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

D. The entries selected in the January 12, 2012 drawing will receive Gopher Men’s Basketball tickets as follows:

1) The 1st entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the January 22, 2012, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

2) The 2nd entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the February 9, 2012, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

3) The 3rd entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the February 22, 2012, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

4) The 4th entry selected will receive 2 tickets for the February 25, 2012, Gopher Men’s Basketball game.

E. No cash equivalents will be awarded.  Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable.  Federal, state or local taxes on any prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners.  The co-sponsors will not be responsible or liable for any warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied, on any prizes.  Co-sponsors reserve the right to correct errors in the contest or promotional materials, to award or re-award any prizes and to substitute equivalent prizes.

F. Winners will be required to consent to full use of their name, address and photo for publicity and public relations purposes and must agree to videotape production for broadcast with no further compensation.  Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, appropriate releases and authorizations for such purposes.  Refusal to do so may, at co-sponsors’ option, result in forfeiture of any prize won.

G. By entering, entrant agrees to follow the official rules and hold harmless the Minnesota State Lottery, Gopher Sports Properties, the University of Minnesota and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrants participation or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion.

H. By accepting any prize, winner agrees to release the Minnesota State Lottery, Gopher Sports Properties, the University of Minnesota and each of their directors, employees, officers and agents including, without limitation, its advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities.  In consideration for being awarded the prize, winners hereby agree and consent, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind, to the use of winners’ name and /or likeness in any and all advertising, promotions and other publicity conducted by the Gopher Sports Properties and/or the University of Minnesota.  Contest void where prohibited.

IV.     Claiming the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing Prize

A. The winners selected by the Lottery in the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing will be notified after their entry has been drawn and declared eligible.

B. The person whose valid entry was selected in the Gopher Men’s Basketball Drawing will be notified as to where to pick up their prize.

C. This promotion may be terminated at any time upon agreement of all participating co-sponsors.  This promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.  All applicable federal, state or local laws apply.
