MINNESOTA VIKINGS POINTS FOR PRIZES PROMOTION

ADOPTED:  JULY 13, 2010

I. Name of Promotion

The name of this promotion that will be conducted in conjunction with the MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game (Scratch Game #682) is the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion.

II. Definitions

A. "Drawing" means a random selection process, as approved by the Minnesota State Lottery, that will be conducted at a time designated by the Minnesota State Lottery and that will award a designated prize to a selected Player.

B. "Lottery" means the Minnesota State Lottery.

C. “MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game” means the Minnesota State Lottery Scratch Game #682.

D. "Player" means a person who participates in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion by registering and then entering an eligible MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game Ticket.

E. "Points" means a non-monetary numerical value assigned by the Lottery to a Player's Points for Prizes Account in exchange for the entry of a valid non-winning MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game Ticket.

F. "Points For Prizes Account" means an electronic file maintained by the Minnesota State Lottery or its designee which contains information about a Player including the number of Points available to be used by the Player for Points for Prizes redemptions. 

G. "Scratch Game" or "Scratch Game Ticket" means a lottery ticket sold by a Minnesota State Lottery retailer that requires the Player to remove a covering to reveal the play symbols to determine if the ticket is a prize winner in accordance with game instructions.

III. Duration of the Promotion

The Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion will begin on July 20, 2010, and conclude on March 8, 2011. 

IV. Eligibility for the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion

A. A person may enter the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion by registering via www.luckymn.com and include all required information and enter the 10-digit validation number that appears under the latex of a non-winning MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game Ticket.   
 
B. For each MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game Ticket submitted, the Player will receive a number of Points.  Point value on individual tickets will be determined randomly by the Lottery.  The number of Points received for an entry will be revealed to the Player on the website upon successful completion of each valid ticket entry.

C. Tickets must be entered by 11:59:59 p.m. CST on February 8, 2011, to receive Points.
 
D. Employees (including a spouse, brother, sister, child or parent of the employee residing in the same household) of the Minnesota State Lottery, Digiknow Inc., Clockwork Active Media Systems, LLC and any other company that is not eligible to receive a prize from the Lottery under Minnesota law or pursuant to a contract with the Lottery are ineligible to participate and receive a prize from the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion.

E. The person that submits an entry must be 18 years of age or older.

F. The Minnesota State Lottery is not responsible for delayed, lost or misdirected electronic submissions made through the Internet.

G. A person may enter more than once.  However, one (1) unique MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game Ticket may only be used once to earn Points. 

H. A Player who uses a non-winning MINNESOTA VIKINGS Scratch Game Ticket that has previously been used in any other Minnesota State Lottery second chance promotion will be considered ineligible.

I. By participating in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion, Players agree to these official rules and to the decisions of the Minnesota State Lottery which will be final and binding in all respects.

J. An entry will be considered invalid if it does not meet all of the requirements for eligibility stated in this section.

K. Each person entering the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion consents to the use of his or her name and/or likeness for advertising, trade or promotional purposes without further compensation.

V. Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Merchandise Prizes

A. Players who have earned Points for prizes may redeem their Points for prizes or enter the Points into the Drawing.
 
B. The number of Points required to be redeemed for a prize shall be designated by the Lottery and posted on the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes web page at www.luckymn.com.

C. Once a Player has entered prize Points associated with a prize, the selection may not be canceled.  It is the Player’s responsibility to ensure that the appropriate prize has been selected.

D. Points redeemed for prizes will be deducted from the Player’s Points for Prizes Account balance. 

E. Points earned in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion are not transferable.

F. Prizes redeemed from the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion are not transferable.

G. Points earned in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion are only valid for this promotion and may not be used for any other Lottery promotion.

H. A Player must redeem all Points earned in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion for a prize by March 8, 2011. 

I. There is no cash value for Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Points. 

J. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of a merchandise prize.

K. The Lottery provides no warranties, guarantees or representations of any kind, express or implied, arising by law or otherwise, including, without any limitation, any implied warranty or fitness for a particular purpose or any implied warranty arising from course of performance, course of dealing or usage or trade in relation to any item included in a prize received in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion.

L. Merchandise prizes earned as part of the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion will be mailed to the Player’s address as registered with the Lottery’s Players Club at www.luckymn.com.

M. Federal, state or local taxes on any merchandise prize received by the Player are the sole responsibility of the winner. All applicable federal, state or local laws apply.

VI. Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Drawing

A. The Minnesota State Lottery will conduct the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Drawing on or about March 10, 2011. 

B. All unredeemed Points in a Player’s account on March 9, 2011, will be converted to Drawing entries at the rate of five (5) points per entry.  If the number of unredeemed Points in a Player’s account as of March 9, 2011, is not divisible by five (5), only that portion of the Points divisible by five (5) will be converted to Drawing entries and any remaining Points will be null and void. 

C. One (1) entry will be selected in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Drawing. 

D. The entry selected in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Drawing will receive the Vikings VIP Season Ticket Package which consists of the  following:

1. Four (4) lower level season tickets for the Minnesota Vikings regular and preseason home games in 2011. 
2. Free parking for each game.
3. Food and beverage in the VIP hospitality area for four (4) persons prior to every home game.
4. State and federal withholding taxes on the total value of the prize.

E. The odds of being selected in the Drawing are dependent on the number of entries received for that Drawing.

F. The person whose entry was selected in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Drawing will be notified by the Lottery after their entry has been drawn and declared eligible. 

G. To claim the prize from the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion Drawing, the Player must fill out a claim form and submit it to the Lottery. If the claim is validated by the Lottery, the prize will be awarded to the Player.  In the event that the claim is not validated by the Lottery, the claim shall be denied and the Player shall be notified immediately.

VII. Emergency Termination of the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion

If, for any reason, the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion is not capable of running as planned due to, without limitation, errors in these official rules or advertising for this promotion, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, human error or any other cause beyond the control of the Minnesota State Lottery that, in the sole judgment of the Lottery, could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Lottery reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.

VIII. Governing Law

By participating in the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion by submitting an entry to the Lottery, the person agrees to comply with and abide by the official rules for the Minnesota Vikings Points for Prizes Promotion; Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 39A (the State Lottery Law); Minnesota Rules, Chapter 7857 (the Lottery's Prize Payment Rules); and all final decisions of the director of the Lottery.  All applicable federal, state or local laws apply; void where prohibited by law.
