Why am I not receiving emails? I signed up, but I’m not getting my e-mail from Lucky, MN.
As you’re probably aware, the issue of e-mail spam is a growing concern. As companies design new ways to help prevent spam from getting to our e-mail boxes, spammers find new ways to get around the blocking measures. If you have signed up to receive e-mail from Lucky, MN, and you are not receiving it, it is possible that your spam blocker is not letting it through. Be sure to check with your Internet Service Provider to make sure your settings are where they need to be, or contact a qualified computer professional.

What is the difference between HTML and text emails?
There are two types of e-mail sent by Lucky, MN. The first and most versitile is called HTML e-mail. HTML e-mail is written in the same code used to create webpages and has the ability to use color, images, a variety of fonts and other features commonly associated with what one might find on a webpage.

HTML allows Lucky, MN to better organize the content of the message, making it much easier to read. Because HTML can use color, images and a variety of different fonts, we can present e-mail messages in an aesthetically pleasing format. HTML messages tend to be larger and therefore slower to load. Subscribers on dial-up Internet accounts may want to reconsider receiving HTML e-mail. Because HTML presents a slightly larger risk than Text based e-mail, some ISPs have chosen to block HTML mail entirely or merely convert it to text [if you are receiving mangled text e-mail, this is possibly the cause].

Text based e-mail can use only TEXT.  No colors or images can be included in TEXT e-mail.

Because Text e-mail contains no graphics or complex computer language, it is very compact and loads quickly. Text e-mail is not blocked by ISPs in the same manner as HTML. Text e-mail is very plain and somewhat difficult to organize without becoming confusing to the reader. Links to online content in Text e-mail tend to be long and convoluted, often broken by the mail reader. Text e-mail can suffer from further formatting issues because of the mail reader’s tendency to break sentences up and insert characters other than letters.

Whichever style of e-mail you choose to receive from Lucky, MN, be sure that the settings for your ISP [this includes SPAM blockers that may be provided by your service], the program that you use to read e-mail [Outlook, Eudora, etc.] and your preferences in are all set to the same style.  If you are having difficulty with your e-mail not getting to you or being received in a mangled, unreadable condition, it is likely due to a mismatched setting in one of these three areas. If you have checked the above and you are still having problems, please contact your ISP’s customer support center or a reliable computer professional.
